Cassy Griggs
Executive Director

Cassy Griggs is the Executive Director of Safe Harbors Domestic Violence Shelter, a role she assumed in January 2024. She brings nearly two decades of experience in law enforcement, emergency response, and a deep commitment to public safety, community well-being, and survivor advocacy.
Prior to joining Safe Harbors, Cassy served with the Oregon State Police from 2016 to 2023, where she held multiple leadership and operational roles. She concluded her tenure as Division Manager for Patrol, a position in which she oversaw frontline operations and strategic initiatives. Her earlier professional experience includes serving as a 911 dispatch field trainer, police officer, and evidence technician, roles that have shaped her comprehensive understanding of emergency services, victim response, and crisis management.
At Safe Harbors, Cassy is focused on strengthening relationships with community partners, expanding outreach and education on the complexities of domestic violence, and positioning the shelter as a vital, trusted resource for individuals and families in crisis. She is honored to serve in a county where collaboration and shared vision are strong, and she is inspired by the dedication of local partners who actively support Safe Harbors mission. With this collective commitment, she believes the future is bright for the organization and those it serves.
Outside of her professional work, Cassy finds balance and renewal in the outdoors. Whether spending time with loved ones, relaxing at the lake, riding horses, or hiking the region’s scenic trails, she values the peace and connection nature offers right outside her back door.
